Tumbling Classes Offered (until July 24, 2008)
Dayton Academy of Gymnastics & Dance (DAGD) proudly presents HHYFC
Open Gym Nites every Thursday from 6:30-8:00 pm. Classes are open to ALL
of the HHYFC cheerleaders from the 2007 & 2008 seasons. The cost is only
$5 per class (excluding a one-time-only $5 registration fee), and you only
pay for the nites that you participate. DAGD is located at 5051 Nebraska
Avenue in Huber Heights (the big, gray building behind Family Video on
Brandt Pike). So put on something "Warrior-ish" and we hope to see you
there to improve on all your tumbling, jumping & basic stunting skills for
the 2008 season!
Why Is Tumbling Important In Cheerleading?
Cheerleading has evolved greatly in the past 10 years. For any cheerleader
who wishes to continue his/her cheerleading career beyond HHYFC, you must
understand that cheer coaches are looking for a higher degree of
athleticism. This is not only to build a strong program in the school, but
to bring home trophies from competitions. This is best illustrated in
stunting, jumping, and tumbling. Knowing how to perform these skills with
the proper technique & execution will put you a step above the rest at
tryouts.
